Jonathan  Schatz

Jonathan Schatz is an implementation analyst in the Shanghai branch of Global Shares.

Jonathan graduated with a B.A. in History and a minor in Chinese from Duke University in 2007.  While at Duke, Jonathan chaired the Duke Honor Council, managing one of the University’s most influential organizations and acting as the chief undergraduate ethicist of the university.  In his capacity as Honor Council Chair, Jonathan coauthored and oversaw the implementation of the University’s new Honor Code and promoted the Honor Code’s underlying values to the broader community.  He also was heavily involved with Duke’s Undergraduate Judicial Board, Inter Community Council (a select organization of . undergraduate leaders) and served as the president of several other campus organizations. 

Besides his dedication to management and ethical leadership, Jonathan has always held a passion for public speaking, delivering the sole student speech at the Convocation for the Duke class of 2010, teaching a university course on Intergenerational Ethics, presenting at the international Center for Academic Integrity Conference, singing solo the United States National Anthem at his undergraduate graduation ceremony, and even starring in several plays for Duke’s undergraduate musical theater troupe.  Jonathan has studied Mandarin at Duke, Stanford University, and Capital Normal University in Beijing.  His last employment position was working for United States Senator Ron Wyden, where, as an intern, he researched and developed policy to reduce debt in America
