Global Shares announces Ron Bolger as Chairman of the Board and Roy Bukstein as a new Director
September 18, 2006, West Cork, Ireland — Global Shares is pleased to announce two new appointments to their Board of Directors. Ron Bolger is joining the Company as the Non-Executive Chairman and Roy Bukstein as a non-Executive Director. Ron and Roy will join Carine Schneider, CEO and Maoiliosa O’Culachain, COO and General Counsel on the Board of Global Shares. Ron Bolger is principal of Ely Capital from which he manages his role as director of a number of Irish companies. He is the Honorary Consul-General of Singapore in Ireland, Chairman of numerous companies including Irish Food Processors, The Galway Clinic and C & D Foods Ltd. He is also a Director of AerCap BV, owned by Cerberus Capital Management of New York. He is the Chairman of the IBEC Trade Council - Irish Business and Employers Confederation and a member of the IBEC National Executive Council. Previously Ron served as Chairman of Telecom Eireann (now eircom plc), Gradient Solutions Ltd and AmBeo. He was also the Managing Partner KPMG Ireland. Ron is a member of the Asia Strategy Group, a High Level Group to advise the Irish Government on its Asia Strategy. Ron is married and has 5 children. Roy Busktein is a CPA with over 25 years’ experience in corporate and personal financial planning. Roy earned his undergraduate degree at Southern Methodist University (BBA-Accounting). Roy also has a Masters degree from the University of Texas at Austin (MPA-Taxation). Roy began his career with a national public accounting firm in Dallas, Texas. In 1979 Roy became Oracle Corporation’s first CFO and was part of the senior management team that took Oracle from a start-up to a publicly-held corporation. In 1998, Roy started his own accounting firm with a primary focus on individuals and the issues they faced regarding stock options. Clients included Silicon Valley technologist from many of the premier companies in the Valley. In 1995, Roy became CFO of MMM Management, a family office in San Francisco. Roy is married with 2 children.
