In spite of weathering a year with more than its fair share of challenges, it’s quite remarkable to see the level of ingenuity and innovation demonstrated by the technology sector, not alone through the winning entries, but across the full spectrum of nominees. The sector is a true linchpin of the Irish business landscape, and played a significant role in keeping businesses, communities and vital services connected in the midst of the pandemic. All this year’s winners have a huge amount to be proud of, having achieved what they did in such a challenging environment. On behalf of EY, I’d like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved.

Technology Ireland ‘Company of the Year 2021’ is a heavyweight award and a huge endorsement of just how far we have come and what we have achieved as a team since our relaunch as a fintech provider in 2015. I would like to dedicate it to every member of our 550 strong team for their dedication, commitment and perseverance that has made our success possible. People often ask how a company on the edge of Ireland, on the edge of Europe, could succeed on a global stage, competing with the world’s biggest financial services giants…yet here we are doing it from Clonakilty. It’s amazing what you can achieve when you back yourself, think globally and empower your team to succeed. Thank you to Technology Ireland and IBEC – this is a major milestone on our exciting journey, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds!
