The right fit for you
In Ireland there are two types of Restricted Shares – Restricted Share Awards also known as Clogged Shares and RSUs. With clog schemes the employer can choose to place a restriction on when employees can dispose of their shares and the tax liability is reduced significantly the longer you hold the shares. With RSUs employees do not receive the shares until after a vesting period. This is usually time based but can also have performance elements attached to the vesting schedule.
