We are delighted to announce that Global Shares CEO, Tim Houstoun, has been shortlisted in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2020 in the International Category.
The EY Entrepreneur of The Year™ is a globally recognised programme run in 145 cities in more than 60 countries. This is its 23rd year in Ireland. The competition recognises and promotes Ireland’s high-growth entrepreneurs and is considered one of the strongest award programmes globally, so we’re thrilled Tim has been named as one of the 24 finalists.
There are three categories – Emerging, Industry and International, and Global Shares is in the International category.
Tim joined Global Shares in 2008, and his stewardship has resulted in Global Shares building a global technology platform and becoming a leading global provider of stock plan management solutions.
He has led us through a comprehensive software development phase, numerous rounds of fundraising, and securing MiFID and FINRA/SEC regulation.
Under his leadership, Global Shares has grown our business into a multi-million dollar firm with 15 offices, 300+ staff, $57Bn in client assets and participants in 100+ countries worldwide.
With regards to the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, the other finalists in the International category are Pat Lucey of Aspira; Rodney Lowry of Lowe Rental Ltd; Conor O’Loughlin of Glofox; Nicola Mitchel of Life Scientific; Andrew O’Shaughnessy of Poppulo; Andrew Mackin of Mackin; and Cathal Friel of Open Orphan.
This is a huge honour for us all here at Global Shares, and we’re thrilled to have reached this stage and be named alongside the other fantastic companies on the list.
